Mentor at HackerCamp

We are looking for builders, designers, and engineers who want to spend a week helping kids ship real projects. Paid positions for summer 2026.

What mentors do

Guide small pods

Each mentor works with a pod of up to 5 students, helping them scope, build, and ship a project in one week.

Teach by building

No lectures. You help students learn by doing — debugging together, pairing on problems, and unblocking when they get stuck.

Shape the experience

Mentors help define what a great week looks like. Your ideas on curriculum, projects, and culture matter.

Who we are looking for

Builders

You have shipped software, hardware, or creative projects. You know what it takes to go from idea to something real.

Patient teachers

You enjoy explaining things and can meet kids where they are — whether they have never coded or are already experienced.

Good with kids

You are comfortable working with ages 10 through 14, keeping energy up, and creating a safe, encouraging environment.
